Returns

Welcome to the Returns section of this website, please read below very carefully.......

If you believe you battery is faulty then there are reasons that you may not have considered as outlined here

Fully charge a battery before use, this also applies to Laptop batteries as many have a smart chip in them as well as the battery cells, if the battery is just to low then this could damage or start the smart chip from functioning correctly, this in turn may mean that your laptop will not recognize that the battery is there.

We normally recommend a prolonged initial charge (although not always needed) to get the best from your new rechargeable battery, always refer to your users manual for charging instructions.

It is best to fully charge and discharge new batteries for the first 3/4 times you use it, you may find you have to do this upto 10 times, this will help to condition the battery for you, to reach its full capacity. You may find that the battery will become warm to the touch during charging and discharging, this is perfectly normal but if you are concerned disconnect from power and seek further advice.

New batteries are sometimes difficult for your charger to charge, the first time round they may require conditioning to get the best out of them, they may only charge for a short time and then stop, if this happens disconnect and reinsert to start the progress again, this is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about, you may have to do this several times during your initial charging period.

Batteries that are only used for a short period then charged over and over again may lose there capability faster than others fully discharged before recharging, further many chargers are not suitable to be charged over night or for long periods of time, this can also damage battery cells, read the instructions that came with your charger.
