Looking after your new extended runtime 3-amp-hour Bosch battery replace is of course very important, charge fully upon receipt, it will take several charges and use in your tool before the battery is capable of accepting a full capacity charge, this is quite normal, try to achieve this over the first week or so by using your tool as much as you can, thereafter charge after use and before putting it away, if you are not using the cordless power tool for long periods then charge every 10-weeks, possibly less if it is stored in a cold and damp place, never leave on the charger for more than 24-hours.
This battery pack will replace all of the others in the range to offer a longer use between charges, this will enable you to drill more holes, screw in more screws or trim more hedge on one charge. We have listed many of the battery serial codes below, if in doubt this code will be found on the top of your Bosch 12v battery near the stalk, you will have to take it out of the tool first to see, it will be in tiny text so you will need good light to make it out.
This Bosch 12v extended 3Ah battery will fit all of the tools in the range, we have listed many of them here but its probably best to go by the code on the battery, or if the picture looks the same, for example has big red buttons on the side which is a completely different shape to the other tools in the Bosch range. If in doubt look at the code on the battery, if one of the above is imprinted on it then its the right battery for you.
The cells of this battery pack are made from the following cell type Ni-CD or Nickel Cadmium, they will be OK to replace the NI-MH versions and fit all known chargers

Absolutely you can, The Ah (Amp Hour) rating is the storage (or fuel) of the battery, the higher it is the longer the battery lasts between charges, bit like petrol in your car so a higher or lower one makes no different to the performance, just the length of time you can use the tool for .
