Valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries combined with absorbed glass mat or AGM produce a non-spillable battery pack that is not-hazardous making it the manufactures choice for Medicare mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs. You should ensure you charge your batteries before first use and charge after every use, far better that than to allow them to sit in a discharged state, also if they are not being used then a top up charge every four weeks, although its probably not wise to leave them on charge 24-hours a day unless you have a lot of faith in your charger, most are not suitable.

It will take several uses and associated recharges before the Medicare battery cells are able to take a full capacity charge, this is quite a normal part of the conditioning process that all new rechargeable batteries will go through and sets them up properly for later use, although you probably will not notice this in general use unless you are a very heavy user
