You should charge your new Merits Health mobility battery when it arrives and before using it for the first time. It will not take long, as it will arrive almost fully charged anyway. In general use, you should charge after every use; do not try to run the battery down, as it will only shorten its lifespan.

It will take between 10 and 15 uses in your Merits Health mobility equipment before the cells can accept a full-capacity charge. This is quite normal and part of the conditioning process that all batteries will go through when new. If you are not using them for long periods, then you must also recharge every four weeks or so to maintain the cells in good order for future use.
