12 volt 55 amp rechargeable sealed AGM battery replacement.
Replacement 12 volt 55 amp battery, rechargeable valve regulated sealed 12v 55 Ah AGM batteries often used in mobility scooters and powerchair's.
These are valve regulated lead acid batteries, because they are absorbed glass mat advanced technology or AGM they will not leak and can be safely mounted on their side although they are normally used in larger mobility scooters and power chairs so normally mounted upright but they need no maintenance and are not hazardous so safe for use by travel including flying although you would be advised to confirm this with your airline when travelling.
Although this battery type does not require any maintenance it does require charging, you cannot leave them in a discharged state, the best way to treat this kind of battery is to charge it as soon as possible after every use, not allowing it to stand partially or fully discharged for any considerable time, allowing it to stand discharged will allow the plates to crystallise over and that part of the plate will not be able to then take a charge over time ensuring the early demise of the battery.
These rechargeable 55 amp batteries are quire heavy over 17 kilos so be careful lifting them, in mobility scooters you will find they are sited in pairs to create 24 volt.
