It is really important to care for your battery needs with the relevant charger. if using sealed lead acid batteries that are widely used in many devices from mobility scooters and powered chairs to the humble high powered hand held torch then the most import thing to remember is to keep them charged. we would in these circumstances recommend a multi stage intelligent charger.

If charging and looking sealed lead batteries then charge as soon as you can after every use. you really do not want them sitting around in a partially discharged state. do not try to fully discharge them first. this will drastically reduce overall life span of the battery, we would suggest charging until its fully charged them remove from charger. if not being used for extended periods them give a top up charge every eight weeks.
