Derbi started as a bicycle manufacture in Span in the early 1920's and went on to motorise them just after world war two, probably closer to mopeds than motorbikes and went on to have quite a good pedigree in grand Prix racing for their 50cc models in the late 60's and early 70's and then again in the new 80cc mark n the late 80's with a notable success in the 125cc bracket right up to the present day.
