The Isuzu Trooper is a medium sized sports utility vehicle or more commonly called a SUV. the same version being re badged and called different models throughout the world like the Bighorn, Monterey or the Horizon. the initial offering was a bit underpowered with a small straight 4-cylinder engine and part time 4-wheel drive. the whole model structure was improved over the years with the 2nd generation going even further in all aspects of power with a large selection of diesel and petrol engines. refinement and luxury not experienced in previous models as the public demands become more in tune with fine on road 4x4 vehicles. There was also more of a concept car that did go into production. The VehiCROSS, that looked as strange as it was called, mainly for the US market a sporty and powerful small SUV that used many parts from the Trooper.
The Isuzu Fargo is a commercial light Van and pick-up truck, again re-badged in different areas of the world. you might know it better as a Bedford or Vauxhall Midi, came in diesel and petrol with a number of different transmission set ups over the years as well as bodies and even a small motor-home.
The Isuzu Faster was a rear wheel drive and some 4-wheeled drive pick-up truck. you might also know it as the Bedford KB, over the years the concept developed with larger more powerful engines and upgraded crew cabs with manual and Auto gearboxes with later version being the Campo and TF.
The Isuzu Gemini was a small or compact car. it came in various combinations of 2-door coupe, 3-door hatch back and 4-door saloon with front wheel drive along with both petrol and diesel versions, another was the Isuzu-Piazza, more commonly known as the pre lotus Piazza. not that many were ever sold in the UK and of course the ones handled by Lotus had up-rated suspension and handling along with a visual makeover.
The Isuzu Mu (which stands for Mysterious Utility-no we do not know either) was launched initially as a 3 door medium sized SUV followed by larger versions and eventually become the Wizard, you might know them better as the Frontera as its European rebadged name.
The Elf or NKR or Grafter is a small but capable commercial tipper truck but can have many body version along with double cabs and four wheel drive and a multitude of engine sizes. it has been through a number of upgrades over its long career and at one stage had the then smallest direct INJ diesel engine.
It may be apparent that it will take a few charges and associated use in your vehicle before the battery is capable of receiving a full capacity charge. this is quite normal, fully discharging your new batteries will reduce the overall life span and they will need changing earlier. this will cost you money in the long run, there may be many reasons for the equipment not be used on a regular basis, if there are protracted periods where this is the case then ensure the batteries are charged before hand and then topped up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours at a time.
Check the code on your old battery carefully to ensure you are ordering the correct battery set as many of them have very similar names of codes. if in doubt you could check the dimensions of the batteries and take note of anything that may be written on the side of them. the size of the batteries are also specified below so you can confirm. this must be done before ordering, these batteries are made mainly of lead which is easy to transform so therefore environmentally friendly and recyclable. more information regarding recycling will be found at a link at the foot of this page.
