Renault have been making cars and vans of note for some years now with notable engines that could clock many reliable miles in commercial vans and has made its own path in motorsport, rallying and formula one, like all motor vehicles the engine needs servicing and parts need to be replaced to keep the car or van both on the road and legal, tyres are replaced so they are road worthy for the winter periods but the battery often gets forgotten about, it may have been struggling for some time but because the weather was clement it was ignored, its often not until there are a few cold winter starts that the problem really arises and by then its often already inconvenient so change the battery as soon as you have any doubts rather than get stuck on the side of the road in the sleet and snow.
When you receive your new battery from us it will be almost fully charged, if you are not using it straight away then charge it and also every 4 weeks, once fitted make sure you take it for at least a 20 minute run to replenish the energy you just used starting the engine
Engine starter batteries are made with slightly thinner plates so it can produce lots of energy to quickly spin the engine over to ease starting, they are not made for deep cycling so flattening the battery is not something you want to do, if this has happened a few times in the past with your old battery then it may need replacing.
So many codes on batteries are almost the same, you should carefully check them before ordering to ensure you are getting the right pack, if in doubt then look at your old batteries it will probably have a 3 digit code on it, something like 075 or 096 but it may be different, take a note of the dimensions and anything that is written on the side, this will always be the best information to have, we have also included on the page the dimensions so you can confirm before ordering, these batteries are mainly constructed using lead and can be easily recycled, more information on recycling can be found at the foot of this page
