Electric start Generator replacement batteries
Replacement Generator battery, rechargeable Petrol, Diesel and hybrid electric start batteries at low cost

An electric generator is a device that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. This conversion is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, which was discovered by Michael Faraday in the early 19th century. Generators are essential in modern life as they provide the electricity needed to power homes, businesses, and industries. There is a huge range of different portable generators available from many different manufacturers; however, they all have one thing in common: a power source. Some are petrol, some are diesel, and renewable energy-powered generators are even available.

Portable generators, such as what you would find on work sites, off-grid areas, industrial and commercial places or even in someone’s garage for when the inevitable happens, are a very important tool to many people and businesses.

Many of these generators have an electric start function rather than a pull cord, and in most cases, for the electric start to function, a battery is required. Most of these batteries are sealed AGM, which are cheap and easy to replace but do need some care and attention from their owner. Lithium or LiFePO4 batteries are also starting to appear as starter batteries, which require much less maintenance.

When searching for the best procedures to follow regarding the maintenance of your battery, you will find a lot of different and sometimes conflicting information. You can, however, boil it down to a few simple rules.

First and foremost, sealed lead batteries do not like to be discharged, and they all have a natural self-discharge over time effect, which is easy to combat. We have found that this is the most common aspect of a battery that people forget about, especially in generators as often, they are only used periodically. Simply charge your battery every four weeks if not in use and this should prolong the life of them.

Below, you will see a long list of generators and their respective models, which can be a little daunting to go through.
