There are two batteries in this set for the Invacare Electra mobility scooter.
The Invacare Electra mobility scooter is aimed squarely to improve your shopping experience, the micro scooter folds neatly down to fit in the boot of a car with no tools required, it is very lightweight with a maximum speed of four miles per hour.
To change the batteries in the Invacare Electra micro scooter you need to remove the seat, this you have probably done before putting it in and out of your car boot, just pull up the lever, grip the front and back of the seat and pull up.
Then you need to remove the seat tube fastening and pull out the seat tube and you can then pull up the battery and motor cover which is held in place with Velcro and disconnect the battery pack and pull out, on both sides, you may need a screwdriver to loosen the battery clamp, then change the battery and cables over with the new ones and replace back in scooter in reverse order.
It is important to charge you new batteries fully before first use, you will find it will take ten or more uses and charges before you reach full capacity of the batteries, in general use charge straightaway after every use, far better that, than to run down the battery which will only significantly reduce the battery life, the other point to bear in mind is if you are not using for long periods charge every four weeks to keep the cells active.
