This offer is for two U1 replacement batteries for the Invacare Pronto M51 with SureStep mobility power chair. The batteries are the recommended sealed lead acid batteries which have the added benefit of also being AGM or absorbed glass mat technology which means they will not spill and are not hazardous, so they can be used for transporting on public transport and aeroplanes.
When looking after your new battery purchase, be aware of a few things. Charge the batteries when they arrive and before their first use. It will take up to ten cycles, that is, use in your chair and recharge, before the battery can accept a full capacity charge. This is quite normal. Try to charge the batteries as soon as possible after every use. They will last much longer if you keep the discharge above 50%. We know this will not always be possible, but if you are mindful of it, it will be beneficial. Never try to try to run them down deliberately. It will only shorten the life span.
