The Roma Medical Shoprider Whisper or Wispa mobility scooter is relatively novel in the fact that the wheelbase can be adjusted in length to suit the user. as it is a travel scooter, then it can, of course be disassembled into smaller and lighter parts for putting into the back of a car without the need for any special tools. The design of the two front wheels being closer together gives a recognisable view and improved manoeuvrability in smaller spaces.
Because it is aimed at the transportable market, it is crucial to ensure that the batteries used are sealed and will not leak, especially as they are often flung about in the back of a car. Ours are, of course. They are valve-regulated lead acid, non-spillable and non-hazardous. They are replacements for the standard 12v 12ah versions that are fitted the dimensions listed below.
