If you have the VP1000ELCD then to get the full use out of your machine you should be upgrading to the 9ah battery, this can be done using the easy upgrade section above. If you do not select this upgrade the UPS will not be able to fulfil its full runtime. The VP700ELCD and VP700ELCD will also benefit from the upgrade.

Batteries being installed into CyberPower UPS devices typically last between two and five years. It varies so much as it all depends on how much stress the battery is put through so if you want it to last as long as possible, here are a few tips. When you first install, allow the battery to settle and run it without load for a number of hours. Airflow is also an important factor, try not to use the UPS as a table and keep in a air conditioned area. Lastly, if you can keep the load below 40% that will benefit the battery as well.
