The battery cells are constructed using absorbed glass mat technology or AGM, they are also valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA, this is the recommended type of battery for this installation, they will not leak if mounted on the side so safe to be used in a UPS tower or rack mountable configuration without any fear of spillage in mission critical applications like a hospital or busy data centre as well as the home office
