General Electric is an American company founded over 100 years ago by the brightest minds of the time. They have many different products ranging from gas and oil to healthcare and renewable energy. UPS systems manufactured by them are very good, but they will eventually need new batteries, which is why you are here. On offer here are 3 x 12-volt replacement batteries for the following systems.
- GE VH-700 battery
- GE VH-1000 battery
Even though the batteries will arrive almost fully charged, the UPS system will still need to complete a full service charge once the batteries are installed. This means there will be a period of time when they cannot offer the full protection, this is completely normal however you should not put any load on the machine until this process is done.
You can expect batteries to last between two and five years once they are in your UPS, but this will depend on many factors. To maximise their lifespan, make sure they have good ventilation, as the batteries will get hot, and the hotter they are, the shorter their lifespan. You should also not stack books on it or use it as a table. If you can keep the load below 40% it will last longer, while its more than capable of going higher it will be at the expense of the battery life.
This product is recyclable. Please ensure they are disposed of at a recycling centre when they have fulfilled their purpose for you. More information about recycling can be found at the foot of this page. Also, check the product code carefully before ordering, as many UPS systems have similar ones.
