You should expect a life span of between 2 to five years of batteries in a UPS, this will of course vary from user to user be very dependent on its general use, one thing to make sure is the vents have access cool air, quite often they are tucked under desks or other such warm places with little ventilation, the batteries will get hot that's normal, but the hotter they are the shorter their lifespan will be, If you add more devices over time keep an eye on the load, if you can keep it below 40% it will last longer, while its more than capable of going higher it will be at the expense of the battery life
