Suppose you are relying on human intervention for the charging regime, such as in a mobility scooter, then it's always best to charge as soon as possible after every use. Also, charge fully when the battery arrives. You do not want them sitting around in a semi-discharged state for any longer than needed. Do not try to run down the cells deliberately. This will only shorten their life expectancy. If, for any reason, it's not being used for long periods, then recharge every four to six weeks to keep the cells topped with energy and active. This is even more important during the colder months.
