When your order is delivered, your new batteries will be almost fully charged. Regardless, you should still fully charge them before first use. If the battery is fitted in something like a UPS system, you can miss this step as the onboard circuit will do a better job of charging it than you. Your charger will indicate to you when it has completed the charge. It probably won't take long, depending on the charger. The light will generally change when it is ready. Do not be impatient. Wait until this first charge is complete before using the equipment. It will contribute to overall battery life.
These are 12V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries and will not leak. They are both AGM and VRLA. Of course, they are the required deep-cycle kind, and they are not hazardous, so they are safe for use in portable equipment, medical equipment, and indoors.
You should confirm the code on your old battery carefully. Many are very similar, so you want to order the correct one. Check the dimensions and note anything written on the side.
