When your order is delivered, your new batteries will be almost fully charged. But regardless of this, you should still complete a charge before first use. If the battery is fitted in something like a UPS system, you can miss this step as the onboard circuit will do a better job of charging it than you. Your charger will indicate to you when it has completed the charge. It will probably not take very long, depending on the charger. The light will generally change when it is ready. Do not be impatient. Wait until this first charge has been completed before using the equipment. It will contribute to overall battery life.

While it is not something that most will notice, it will take several charges. Corresponding use in the device before a full capacity charge is reached a normal part of the conditioning process. Allowing your new batteries to sit without charge is not a good idea. as soon as you have finished using it, put it back on charge, and never go out of your way to discharge entirely deliberately. This will not reset them, only reduce the overall life span. There may well be extended periods when the batteries are not actively used. If so, ensure they are charged thoroughly beforehand and then recharged every four weeks but do not leave them on the charger for more than twenty-four hours at a time.

These are 12v valve-regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak. They are both AGM and VRLA. of course, they are the required deep cycle kind, and they are not hazardous, so they are safe for use in portable equipment, medical and indoors.

You should confirm the code on your old battery carefully. Many are very similar, so you want to order the correct one. Check the dimensions and take note of anything written on the side of them.
