These valve-regulated sealed lead acid batteries will not leak if mounted on the side as they often are in uninterruptible power supplies. They are not hazardous, so they are safe for use in mission-critical environments such as hospitals or busy data centres.
As is typical with all rechargeable batteries it will take several charges and use within its application before the battery will reach total capacity.

If you are using in a more portable device that requires outside intervention for the charging then charge fully before first use. Charge after each and every use and if not being used for long periods then charge every eight weeks to overcome the natural self discharge that will occur over this period. But do not leave on the charge for more than 24-hours.

As you would expect from the brand leader they are manufactured to a very high standard and can be used in a wide range of applications.
As is common with all rechargeable batteries it will take several charges before the battery will reach full capacity.
