This battery is normally found in pairs connected together to make 24v which is needed to power mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs however they can be installed in many different appliances. They require zero maintenance, are non-spillable therefore they can be installed on their side and are also safe to take on a aeroplane at time of writing.

If you want to prolong the life of your battery then keeping it charged is the best thing you can do. You should charge them before the first use and after every use, even if it's only for ten minutes but you should not leave it charging for any longer than is required. After four weeks or so of the batteries not being used they still start to lose charge so you should give them a top up to keep them in a healthy condition.
