The FirstPower FP1223 is a sealed lead-acid battery, it is valve regulated so is the same to use in many devices, even those used for travel. It is absorbed glass mat technology or AGM so will not leak even if mounted on its side.

This battery is found in many security or essential applications such as security doors, alarm monitors and even mobility bath lifts. Where it is fitted with constant mains power the inbuilt intelligent charging system will take care of the daily energy level of the battery which goes a long way to allowing the battery to last for many years. Where this is not the case and the battery is used and then charged independently then here is some advice. Charge straight away after use, you would not want to leave around partially or fully discharged, if not being used for long periods then ensure you top up charge every four or five weeks.
