This battery is often used in alarm systems to offer back up energy to run the system in the event of a power outage, it is also used in many other applications when a small lightweight reliable power source is required.

After you have unpacked your new battery order from us you will note that they will have a good charge in them, regardless of this you should still complete a full charge before first use, if the battery is being fitted in something like an alarm system then you can miss this step as it will do a better job of charging it than you, the charger will have LED lights which will indicate whether it is still charging or not, you only need to charge them until they are ready, probably not very long at all, make sure you do not miss the initial charge (unless as stated above), doing so may well reduce overall life expectancy.

While is not something that most will even notice but it will take a number of charges and corresponding use in the device before a full capacity charge is reached, this is a normal part of the conditioning process, if being used in a portable device then ensure that after every use that you put the batteries back on charge, letting them sit in a partially discharged state is not wise, do not attempt to discharge the batteries fully, this will not extend the life of them, quite the contrary, it will reduce life span quite drastically so cost you money in the long run, there may be many reasons for the equipment not be used on a regular basis, if there are protracted periods where this is the case then ensure the batteries are charged before hand and then topped up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours at a time.

These batteries will require no general maintenance, no topping up with fluid as it has none, they are AGM and VRLA, of course with deep cycle properties that would be required in this type of application, they are also not-hazardous so safe to use in the home or in portable devices.
