If you are using this battery in something like an alarm system or computer backup UPS system, the onboard charger will take care of charging the battery. If it is going in a more portable device, then this will be up to you; charge fully before first use. Charge after every use, and if not being used, charge every 8 weeks, but do not leave it on the charger for more than 24 hours. It may take up to ten charge cycles before your new battery power source reaches full capacity; this is normal. Try not to let the battery discharge too deeply; it is better to charge often than to let it remain discharged, which will shorten battery life.
