The battery pack needs no maintenance, and will not spill any liquid as it is sealed. Please remember to charge your new sealed lead acid battery before use, and try to keep topped up. The most damage to sealed lead-acid batteries is done when it is allowed to get flat, it is far better to charge straight away after every use than when it's been allowed to become flat.
