The OSET 12.5-Eco is the smallest bike available, sister, to the racing model. This beginner's bike is ideal for young riders wanting to step into the world of motorcycling. It is simple, sturdy, adjustable and very easy to manage. The bike has plenty of great features you wouldn't expect from a child's bike. These features include a full coverage chain guard, custom foot pegs, alloy rims, front and back suspension, front V brake and a rear band brake which are reach-adjustable for small hands. Safety comes into mind when thinking about bikes, especially for children. OSET delivers here wonderfully with an on/off handlebar switch easily operated by the driver. In contrast, a separate key switch is removable by an adult for when it's time to take a break. The other important safety feature worth mentioning is the '2 dial' system which allows the speed and response of the bike to be adjusted.
The battery required, according to OSET, is two standard fit 12v 8ah batteries. On offer here are two standard fit 9ah batteries. The batteries are precisely the same physical size so that that installation will be no problem. All of the physical dimensions are listed below. The extra amp in each battery will produce a longer runtime, allowing you to squeeze more time on the bike than usual.
Your battery will arrive almost fully charged, but we recommend charging it thoroughly before the first use, overnight if you must. This is very important in extending the life of your battery and keeping it in good condition. The battery must be charged after every use. Keeping it at full charge as often as possible is the best way to maintain the charge level the battery can hold. If a period goes by, which is eight weeks or more, you should charge the battery fully but never keep the battery on charge for more than twenty-four hours, as this can seriously damage the battery.
