These 12v 7ah batteries are leak-proof, which is crucial to have on children's quad bikes for the safety and well-being of young riders. It is very important that you charge your new battery first before using the vehicle. Peg-Perego recommend to charge for a minimum of eighteen hours, but do not allow to run past twenty-four as this can result in irreparable damage to the battery. You can then charge the battery after every use, and if you are not using the quad bike then a top up charge every eight weeks or so will help to prolong the battery life.
Replacing your old battery for a new one is fairly simple; you just need to follow a few steps which can be done easily at home. To begin, rotate the red lock behind the saddle and open it. Press on the rear of the bodywork to facilitate opening the saddle. Next, unplug the vehicle wiring terminal from the battery terminal by pressing terminals on the side and pulling apart. You can now loosen the battery holder, remove the old battery and replace with the new one. Lastly, replace the battery holder by tightening the two screws, reconnect the plugs and close the saddle.
The battery we are supplying are the 12v 7ah sealed-lead acid, which can easily be upgraded to 12v 9ah, see in the easy upgrades above under available options. This battery is the same physical size as the 7ah whilst providing more power to the quad bike. To select the upgrade, simply find easy upgrade and select the appropriate provided.
