Looking after your new batteries for Powerstart500
These batteries require no maintenance, but because they are going into a jump pack, which drains the battery quickly when used, it is very important that they are charged after each use. A standard AGM battery would need to be recharged every four weeks if not in use, but because this battery is manufactured to a much higher standard, you can delay that much longer, but keeping them charged is key to a useful life span. That does not mean just leaving them on charge either, just recharge and remove them from the charger, if not being used for long periods then instigate a recharge say every six weeks.
Installation:
They have advanced AGM technology, have a maintenance-free spill and leakproof design which makes it non-hazardous and able to be mounted on its side. During installation, it would be wise to take it slow and look at how the existing batteries are connected so you can ensure you are installing them correctly. You will see that you can download the instruction manual that may help you in a number of ways regarding this machine.
Recyclable:
These sealed lead AGM batteries are packed full with lead, making them (and your old ones) environmentally friendly and recyclable. Please take them to your local recycling centre when they have reached the end of their useful life so that they can be transformed into something new and continue on their green journey.
