Fitted in a UPS, you could expect a battery lifespan of between 2-5 years. This will, however, vary somewhat depending on the item's general position and overall use. Supplying adequate ventilation is important. The batteries are used continuously 24/7; the hotter they are allowed to get, the shorter their life expectancy. To get long battery life, you should keep the load below 40%. If you have added more devices over time, this may have crept up. It's capable of much more, but the payoff will be battery life, so it's a balancing act.

The batteries are valve-regulated sealed lead-acid, or VRLA for short, with AGM technology; no need for any maintenance, except, of course, charging, and can be mounted on their side in a UPS without fear of leakage. They are non-hazardous, so they are safe for use in hospitals, busy data centres, and home offices.
