The batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged, but your UPS will still need to complete a full service charge. You should note that while this is going on, the system will, of course, not be able to offer the full runtime backup period until it has finished. You will find it's better to let the system run without load to start, while it completes the first charge to reset the new battery's energy level.
Fitted in a UPS you could expect a battery life span of between 2-5 years, this will of course vary from user to user be very dependent on its general use, ensure there is plenty of ventilation around the device, do not cover the vents or place it next to a radiator. Do not use it as a bookshelf. if the batteries get to hot all the time it will shorten the life span, also do not overload with too many devices, quite often more are added over time, if you can keep the load below 40%, while the system may be of going higher than that its working the battery cell harder which will mean a shorter life span.
These batteries can be mounted on the side without any issues, no leaking, which means they can be used in tower or rack-mountable situations. They are the recommended VRLA type and benefit from AGM technology; they are non-hazardous, making them safe for use in critical environments.
