This small 12V sealed lead-acid battery replaces the FirstPower FP1226A. It is often found in small portable devices to power them when out and about, such as speakers, PA systems, and more.
We will deliver this FirstPower FP1226A almost fully charged. But it is good practice to fully charge a new rechargeable battery when it arrives and before first use. It will generally take several charges and uses in the device before it can reach full capacity, although you might not even notice. This happens in the background and is part of the conditioning process all rechargeable batteries go through.
If you use the battery in a portable device, please charge it after every use. It will do the battery no favours if you let it sit discharged for any longer than necessary. If it is not being used, recharge it every six weeks to keep the battery in good order. But do not leave it on the charger longer than needed to reach a full charge; overnight is fine, but not days on end.
This is a sealed lead AGM battery; it will not spill and is suitable for use in portable devices.
