The Dell J731N and H955N are 208V and 230V UPS systems, respectively. Both are 4U in height and often rack-mounted. They may also come with the K812N EBM for extended runtime; you would need one set for each item. The UPS is a line-interactive uninterruptible power system and may be linked to an optional EBM. The batteries are housed in a tray behind the front panel, which you must remove first. They are linked via a cable with a simple connecting joint; when disconnected, the tray can be slid out of the UPS for replacement and recharged with fresh batteries. They are heavy, so handle them carefully. Refer to your user manual for full information.
The expected life of batteries in this type of installation is 3-5 years, but many factors can affect this; the biggest are constant overload (when network requirements increase over time) and adequate ventilation in the communications room.
The batteries are valve-regulated sealed lead acid as recommended for UPS systems, they can be recycled as the main component is lead making them a environmentally friendly product
