These are valve-regulated batteries, more commonly known as VRLA and AGM. They are not hazardous and will not spill, so you can mount them on the side without fear of spillage, which is essential for this installation. They are safe to use in data centres and rack systems.

If you are not using software to check the batteries, such as PowerChute, we recommend powering the system up without any load for twenty-four hours after fitting. This will help the batteries reset to the system and will probably pay dividends later in life.

This is a recyclable product. Please ensure it is taken to a recycling point at the end of its life, as it is a valuable resource that can be reused.
