Installing the batteries is comparatively simple. Refer to your manual for the procedure if you are not sure. They will arrive almost fully charged, but the system will still need to complete a service charge when you power it up. Hence, there will be a period when you don't have the full protection your UPS can offer until it completes this operation. While it's not always convenient, it's best to run it without a load at startup so it can fully reset to the new battery energy level.

You could certainly expect these batteries to last somewhere between two to five years in this UPS, this will however will vary depending on the conditions or storage and overall use, ensure the system is not buried under piles of paper work as they often are in a office, the batteries get hot, the hotter they are the shorter their lifespan, the higher the load the harder its working which directly relates to battery life, if you can try to keep it below 40%

These batteries are sealed lead valve regulated, or VRLA, and benefit from AGM technology. This means they will not spill, so you can mount them on the side in a UPS without fear of leakage. They can be used in rack or tower modules; they are non-hazardous, so they are safe for use in mission-critical environments, including busy data centres or hospitals.
