When you place your order, you will note that the batteries will be almost fully charged when received, but it is still important to fully charge them before first use. You do not need to leave it on for hours on end; it will probably not take very long at all, depending on the charger, just until the charger has indicated that it has finished. While you may be sorely tempted to fit them and go without charging, it's well worth waiting that short period to set them up the right way before you start.
Most people won't notice, but it will take a few charges and uses before the equipment reaches full capacity. It's part of the normal conditioning process. You should fully charge your batteries as soon as you can after every use. Do not leave them sitting in a semi-discharged state for any period unless necessary. Fully discharging the batteries will only reduce their life expectancy. It will do them no good and will cost you money in the long run. If the equipment is not used regularly, ensure the batteries are fully charged before any downtime, then top them up every four weeks, but do not leave them on the charger for more than 24 hours.
The battery type we are offering is VRLA and AGM; they need no maintenance or fluid top-ups, and they are sealed lead-acid and valve-regulated with AGM technology. They are non-hazardous and safe to use around the home or on pavements, as well as when travelling, although if you are booking a flight, you should check with the airline first.
