Although the batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged, you should still fully charge them before first use. Charge them until the charger LED lights indicate they are ready; it probably won't take long. You might want to fit and use them right away, but that would be unwise; skipping the initial charge could shorten overall life expectancy.
Most people won't notice, but it will take a few charges and uses before the equipment reaches full capacity. It's part of the normal conditioning process; leaving your new batteries uncharged is not a good idea. As soon as you finish using it, put it back on charge; fully discharging the batteries will only reduce their life expectancy. It will do them no good and will cost you money in the long run. There may be many reasons the equipment isn't used regularly. If this is the case for long periods, ensure the batteries are charged beforehand and then topped up every four weeks, but do not leave them on a charger for more than 24 hours at a time.
These 12-volt batteries are AGM (absorbed glass mat) and VRLA (valve-regulated lead-acid). They are deep cycle and non-hazardous, so they are suitable for indoor use or in electric vehicles. They won't leak, and they don't require maintenance.
Many codes on mobility devices are almost the same; check them carefully before ordering to ensure you get the right pack. If in doubt, look at your old batteries and note the dimensions and anything written on the side; this is always the best information to have.
