This battery is a sealed lead-acid, valve-regulated, absorbed glass mat (AGM), rechargeable, high-quality battery recommended for use in power chairs and mobility scooters; however, it can be used in a wide range of applications such as energy storage, industrial machines, and UPS systems. This means they are non-hazardous, non-spillable, and safe for public transport, including aeroplanes.
Looking after your new batteries is important, and you only need to follow a few basic rules; first, charge them before and after every use. Leaving them discharged for long periods will cause damage; to prevent this, charge every five weeks to slow the natural discharge rate. These batteries contain lead, therefore making them heavy and recyclable.
