Ignoring a failing battery on a bike rarely ends well, it's usually a slow slide from occasional hesitation to a dead machine at the worst possible moment. Watch for the starter turning over with less urgency than it used to, the headlight or dash dimming when you hit the button, or the engine needing a bit of throttle coaxing to catch when it never used to.
