Your new APC Powercell Professional Personal battery, which we will dispatch to you, will be almost fully charged, but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installation. during this interim period you should note that your system will not be able to offer you its full runtime protection until it has finished this task, if you have the opportunity it will be best to run the system without a load to start so it can properly reset itself to the new energy level.

You can expect the batteries in the APC Powercell Professional Personal to have a life expectancy of 2 to 5 years. This will, however, differ quite a lot depending on the use. Sufficient ventilation is important, preferably in an air-conditioned communications room, in general, get hot if the heat cannot disperse; it will shorten their life span. Try to keep the load below 40% if you can. While it may well be capable of more, it will shorten the battery life.

This product is recyclable. Please ensure they are disposed of at a recycling centre when they have fulfilled their purpose for you. More information about recycling can be found at the bottom of this page. Check the product code carefully before ordering, as many UPS systems have similar ones

If you want to get the most from your UPS why not upgrade the battery to a 9ah version, it has the same dimensions and can replace the 7ah original without issue with the benefit of a longer runtime, selectable in the easy upgrade options above.
