The new batteries that you receive from us will be almost fully charged, but the system will still need to complete a service charge upon installation. While this is happening, the system won't be able to provide the full runtime backup period until it has finished. Best advice would be to allow the system to run without load to start to allow the new battery energy level to reset
Batteries in this type of installation would typically have a expected life span of between 2 to five years, this will vary greatly on conditions, ensure the system is not buried under piles of paper work as they often are in a office, the batteries get hot, the hotter they are the shorter their lifespan, try and keep the load below 40% if you can, while it may well be capable of more it will shorten the battery life.
These batteries are very resilient and can be mounted on the side without issues or leaks, so that they can be used in tower- or rack-mountable situations. They are the recommended VRLA type and benefit from AGM technology, making them safe for use in critical environments.
