When you receive your Ritar RT613 & RT612 order from us, the batteries will be almost fully charged, but even so you will still need to complete a charge before first use. The only time you do not need to do this is if it's going into something with its own always-connected power supply, for example, an alarm system, as this will do the job of charging for you. just charge them until your charger LED lights indicate that they are ready, it will probably not take very long, do not miss out this important first step, it will help set them up and possibly extend the possible overall life expectancy of them.
It may take a number of charges and alternating use in your equipment for the Ritar RT613 & RT612 battery to condition and take a full-capacity charge; this is quite normal. You should fully charge your batteries as soon as you can after every use if you're using them in a portable device. Do not leave them sitting in a semi-discharged state for any period unless necessary. Never deliberately discharge them fully; this will only reduce overall lifespan. if there are extended periods where you are not using the batteries you should remember to recharge every four weeks and never put them away discharged, even partially, do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time.
These 6v Ritar RT613 & RT612 batteries are sealed lead valve regulated, or VRLA, and further benefit from using AGM technology, which means they will not spill, so can be used indoors or in portable equipment without fear of leakage, capable of deep cycling as would be essential in this type of application. They are not hazardous.
