This is a very popular battery size used in many products. From essential portable medical monitoring equipment to high-powered torches, even portable vacuums and children's ride-on toy trains and cars.
The battery is safe to use as a valve-regulated battery, or VRLA; it is a sealed lead-acid type suspended in a glass mat, or AGM. This means that the battery cannot leak and can be mounted on its side, making it ideal for use in a portable device. This tough battery can withstand knocks and still perform, offering a non-hazardous form of energy storage.
No maintenance is required. it does however need charging, do not allow the battery to become discharged. it is better to charge after every use and straight away rather than leave it discharged. You should charge the battery until it is full when you receive it from us and before you use it. It will take several charges, probably between six and nine, before the battery will reach full capacity. If you are not using the battery for extended periods after the initial charge, charge it every six or seven weeks. This will ensure the plates are fully charged, and the battery lasts much longer.
