The 6DM6.5 is used in many small generators and other equipment powered by small engines. Sometimes the terminals on your device might be the other way around, but we doubt you will find them; just move the cables or turn the battery around to suit. Better that than have no battery or working equipment. To date, we have never had a fitment that this alternative 6DM6.5 will not fit.
If you take care of your new 6DM6.5 battery replacement, it will last much longer. It will come out to you with a reasonable charge, probably enough to start the engine it will be paired with. But the best practice is to charge the 6DM6.5 replacement when it arrives and, if it is not used, every six weeks.
The biggest issue with this type of equipment is that it's used seasonally; if your new 6DM6.5 battery is going to sit in a garage or shed for part of the year, recharge it every six weeks to keep the cells fresh; otherwise, you will have to replace it the following year.
As stated, if you use the 6DM6.5 replacement regularly, the installed equipment will provide the life-giving energy boost it requires. If not, do not leave it on the charger longer than necessary to reach full capacity. This is reasonable and makes sense; it will be fine overnight. We do not advocate the use of optimisers connected twenty-four-seven. They are, at best, a compromise, as experience shows they are often not foolproof and can end up doing more harm than good; clearly, though, it's better than doing nothing at all.

The 6DM6.5 replacement is made mainly of lead, so it is very easy to recycle. Please ensure that when it reaches the end of its life, it is sent to a recycling centre.
