Although the batteries we send you will be nearly fully charged, the UPS will still need to complete a full service charge. While this is happening, the system will not be able to provide full runtime backup until it finishes. We know you're likely using this equipment urgently, but it's best to run it without a load at first so it can reset itself.

You can reasonably expect these batteries to last between two and five years in this kind of device. This will, however, vary a lot depending on storage conditions and overall use. Good ventilation is important; if it's in an office, do not use it as a bookshelf. Keeping the load low will help extend the lifespan; ideally, keep it below 40%.
