The standard TE35 batteries are wet, flooded Monobloc batteries however this MK-Powered battery has thixotropic GEL electrolyte which means it is non-spill-able, non-hazardous and safe to be mounted on its side. Manufactured in the USA by East Penn Manufacturing, the parent company of MK-Powered and Deka, the 8GTE35 battery has a very good reputation and often used in renewable energy sources, solar and industrial applications.

Please note that you cannot mix GEL and wet batteries in a bank and also that GEL batteries will increase their capacity over the first 20 – 25 uses, this is completely normal.
