Our lithium-ion range are more expensive than the standard batteries but they are a humongous improvement. The main reason for this is because of their ability to use 100% of their power 100% of the time compared to sealed leads which are only able to discharge to 50% (60% for GEL type batteries) before they stop working and start damaging their cells. This improves the overall life of the battery plus the distance they will take you.

Is it worth it?
A mobility scooter to some people is a lifeline to the outside world so they need to be reliable. If you use your scooter everyday and travel long distances then in the long run this is a much cheaper option. A lithium battery cycled once a day would last 14-years compared to a SLA battery that would die after 2-3 years. This plus a longer travel distance proves that the initial cost difference is worth it.
