Looking after your battery is very important, you should charge when you receive it and before first use although all our batteries are dispatched with a substantial charge anyway. If you use the vehicle often then the charging of the battery will be taken care of by the vehicle but if there is a period of 6-weeks or so when not in use then you should top up to stop the slow natural discharge of the battery.
