This offer is for a sealed lead acid battery pack, more often known as a VRLA, it is 12v and it also benefits from being AGM, this means that the battery is safe for use on public transport as it will not spill even if laid on its side and not-hazardous so it is recommended for mobility scooters and other mobility devices as also safe for air travel and the preferred type of the wheelchair manufactures.

Although the battery does not require any maintenance that does not mean you can ignore the charging, you should charge fully when you receive the order from us and before use, in general use it will be better to charge after every use, its not a good idea to try to run this type of technology down deliberately as this will only shorten the life expectancy form such cells and if not using for long periods charge every 4 weeks.
