The Pride Jazzy Select Traveller, Select GT & Select Elite batteries for mobility chairs are quite a considerable expense, so it makes good commercial sense to know how to look after them. First, please remember that it will take several cycles to reach a full capacity charge, that is, use in the chair and charge. It's part of the conditioning process that all batteries go through. For general use, we recommend charging after every use.

The batteries can take thousands of charges if you discharge a little, but this drastically decreases the further you discharge, so leaving them in a partially discharged state is not recommended. Also, if not used for long periods, charge it every 4 weeks, but leave it on the charger only for a short time. Overnight is more than enough.
